My name is Adam (AJ) Reisetter, and I am currently studying Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Iowa, with a minor in Sports and Recreation Management and a certificate in Entrepreneurship Management.
My career in sports broadcasting began in high school in Northfield, Minnesota, where I hosted a radio show, Meet the Raider, on KYMN Radio, interviewing local athletes and providing weekly sports recaps. I also worked as a play-by-play and color announcer for high school football. In my senior year, I helped create NorthfieldLive, a live-streaming business, with my father, broadcasting various high school sports events.
At Iowa, I have gained diverse experience in sports media. I served as the Sports Director for DITV, producing multimedia stories and assisting with live show production. I am a play-by-play announcer for KRUI Radio, covering football, basketball, wrestling, and baseball, and I also work with Big Ten Plus as both an announcer and production assistant for a range of sports, including field hockey, soccer, gymnastics, and wrestling. Additionally, I supported the Iowa Heartlanders as a communications assistant and created content for City High Athletics, including photos, videos, and hype reels. As the Creative Chair for Dance Marathon, I also manage multimedia efforts for the organization, producing videos and photos.
My goal is to become a play-by-play announcer for a major sports team or network.
